Numbers from the LASERCUT shop floor: what we cut most often
Stainless steel accounts for more than half of all enquiries, 4 mm is the most ordered thickness, and more than half of the orders come from abroad. We looked at the numbers behind ordinary production days — materials, thicknesses and customer countries.
At LASERCUT we handle enquiries for precision laser cutting of a wide range of metals every day. Most customer interest goes to stainless steel, aluminium, carbon steel and galvanized steel. Stainless 1.4301 / AISI 304 stands out in particular — a favourite for precision technical, assembly and design parts across many thicknesses.
Most requested materials
More than half of all enquiries are for stainless steel. Carbon steel, aluminium and galvanized sheet share the rest:

Behind most stainless enquiries sits 1.4301 / AISI 304 — it cuts cleanly, needs no surface treatment, and works equally well for technical parts, assembly components and visible design pieces.
Most ordered thicknesses
The thickness spread shows two centres of gravity: thin sheet up to 1 mm for precise, delicate parts, and the 2–4 mm range for structural and assembly pieces.

Thicker sheet from 5 to 10 mm shows up less often but regularly — typically for brackets, flanges and load-bearing parts where stiffness matters.
Where the orders come from
Orders do not stop at the Slovak border. Slovakia accounts for just under half of all enquiries — the rest arrive from abroad, mainly from German-speaking countries:

What these numbers tell us
The overall picture is clear: demand is strongest for precision parts in stainless steel, above all AISI 304. But customers also order aluminium, carbon steel and galvanized sheet, which shows how broadly laser cutting is used — from thin technical parts to sturdier structural components.
Slovakia dominates in market terms, yet a significant share of orders comes from Austria and Germany as well. LASERCUT is therefore not just a local service but an online manufacturing solution for customers in several countries.
Shares are rounded and a single order can contain several materials and thicknesses at once, so the figures need not add up to exactly 100%.
